BenQ_-PB7700_projector_BenQ_59.J0C01.CG1_replacement_projector_lampChanging your BenQ PB7700 projector lamp is hard enough without unnecessary complications. Follow our 3-step guide for a smooth installation.

Step 1: Be prepared with the correct lamp

When BenQ PB7700 projector lamp is reaching end of life, you’ll see a warning message on screen. The lamp light on the projector panel will also light up red. Be sure to change the BenQ 59.J0C01.CG1 projector lamp immediately.

Avoid generic “compatible” lamps. You get what you pay for and in the case of generic lamps it’s usually a long list of problems:

Save yourself unnecessary headaches and buy authentic from a recognized dealer. You’ll be getting a far superior product with a replacement guarantee and tech support.

Step 2: Replacing the BenQ 59.J0C01.CG1 projector lamp

IMPORTANT NOTE: The BenQ PB7700 projector operates at an extremely high temperature. Let the projector cool for a least 45 minutes before replacing the BenQ 59.J0C01.CG1 projector lamp. The projector should be cool to the touch. Don’t rush it or you may end up with a nasty burn.

BenQ_PB7700_projector_lamp_out_BenQ_59.J0C01.CG1_projector_lamp4. Grab the BenQ 59.J0C01.CG1 projector lamp by the two side indentations and slowly pull the lamp out. Pulling out too quickly may cause the bulb to break. If this happens go to: What to do when your projector lamp explodes.

5. Don’t touch the inside of the BenQ PB7700 projector after the lamp is removed. The optical components are very sensitive and even the slightest movement can cause unevenness and distortion of the projected images.

NOTE: The BenQ 59.J0C01.CG1 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps! If you bought from an authentic manufacturer they will recycle the lamp for you at no extra cost (another reason to buy authentic lamps).

7. Tighten the screws on the projector lamp cage.

8. Reinstall the projector lamp cover. Tighten the side screw holding the lamp cover in place. Don’t over tighten the screws otherwise the lamp may not work properly.

9. Turn the power on and wait for the projector to warm up.

10. Reset the Lamp Timer.
